Preparing to enter the enzyme bath
1.You will be asked to undress in front of the enzyme bath.Please put your luggage and clothes in a basket with a lid and enter the enzyme bath.If you wish to store valuables separately, there are lockers in the waiting room.
2.You will lie down in the bathtub.
3.Please cover the front part of the bath with enzyme bran from the surrounding area by yourself.
When you have finished preparing, a staff member will ask you to enter and carefully apply the fermented rice bran so that it is spread over your entire body. If you are not comfortable with nudity, we will provide you with paper panties and a hair cap, but we recommend that you enter nude so that you can experience absorption throughout your body.
Tips for taking an enzyme bath
1.you will be asked to lie down in the enzyme bath for approximately 15 minutes. If the temperature is lower, you can extend the bath for around 5 minutes free of charge to see how it goes.
2.We will check on you during the process.
3.When the time is up, you will be asked to get up from the enzyme bath in 15 minutes. Please remove the bran from your body when you get off the step.
4.You will move to the shower room and wash off cleanly.
After taking an enzyme bath
In the shower, it is recommended to just rinse off, preferably without using any shampoos. You will notice that the enzymes make your skin feel smoother.
Relaxation.
You will prepare yourself in the powder area. A hairdryer and lotion are available for you to prepare yourself for the journey home.
When the sweat has gone and you are ready to go, you can leave.
The treatment ends with the final payment.
Hydration.
After Enzyme bath, you will perspire a lot and should hydrate adequately. Your skin will feel glutinous and smooth for a few days.

We welcome customers with children. The enzyme bath stimulates brain activities in children. We also have some toys and books for children who wish to wait in the waiting room.
The rice bran waste is a good fertilizer. It is complimentary, and is very popular among farmers. Please let us know if you are interested.
We only rely on the natural heat from the rice bran. Depending on circumstances such as the weather, humidity, and number of customers, the bath temperature may vary. If you prefer a hot bath, please be sure to book an appointment earlier in the day.
About the bodywork
It doesn't matter if you're sweating! A stretch from it will help.
Kouso Labo recommends bodywork after fermentation.

Our Philosophy
Growing up, I was frail and often got sick. Because of that, there were many things I wasn't allowed to do. It got worse after I gave birth to my daughter. Then I learned about enzyme bath. It made me feel so much better and I became devoted to it. I wanted to bath in rice bran enzyme every day, and to share the experience with my mother and one-year old daughter. As a result, I decided to open my own enzyme bath spa. My body condition has improved dramatically and eight years later I was able to have another child.
Every day I spend about two hours taking care of rice bran in each tub to create good enzymes. I add some water to the rice bran and mix it with my own hands. The tubs are pretty low so it is good exercise for me!

- Can any person be admitted?
- Yes, men, women and children of all ages, from pregnant women to infants. People with physical problems, people undergoing rehabilitation for injuries and many others are able to use the centre. (Of course, the staff understands the symptoms of each person and will guide them, paying attention to the time and temperature of fermentation.) We can also accommodate conditions for which it is generally considered that the body should not be warmed up. Please consult with us.
- Can I go in during my period?
- You can! The enzyme baths are perfectly safe. Why not go in wearing paper panties and a sanitary napkin? Most people seem to expel from the body after warming up in the shower instead of in the enzyme bath. We want to create a comfortable environment for you so we don't force you to do anything. If you have severe menstrual cramps, it is best to start a week before your period starts.
- I have atopic skin scars. Can you put it in?
- Yes, you can. However, there may be some staining of the scars after a short time after fermentation. Some people may experience itching because of the warmth. If it is too painful, we will combine it with alternative therapies that we know from experience would be suitable. (For example, homemade enzymes made from plants or food, or loquat leaf extract can be applied and then wrapped in gauze before fermentation). Please note that some adult atopic patients may experience a positive reaction. (Reactions will continue to occur, but they will heal.) The reactions will follow the events that have occurred, so they may temporarily become worse.

We are ready and waiting for you to spend a special time with us. Please read the following notes carefully before making a reservation.When you make a reservation, we will assume that you have agreed to the terms and conditions.
Notes on cancellations, date/time changes and late arrivals
Please inform us in advance (by 17:00 the day before) if you wish to change the date, time or cancel your booking.
If you change the date or cancel after 5pm the day before your appointment, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the reserved menu price.
If you are late on the day of your treatment, we may have to omit part of the treatment as it may inconvenience other customers.
In the case of a major delay, we will not be able to provide sufficient treatment.
Please note that in such cases, the cancellation will be treated as a same-day cancellation and a cancellation fee will be charged.
Contraindications regarding enzyme baths and bodywork
- after a meal (within 2 hours of eating)
- Has severe diabetes or high blood pressure and is prone to changes in physical condition

If you are menstruating, you can enter the clinic, but you are more likely to have a positive reaction after the treatment and may experience an increase in the amount of menstrual blood compared to normal.
Pregnant women (less than five months pregnant) are not allowed to have the treatment for safety reasons.
Even if you are over 5 months pregnant and in a stable period, please make sure to obtain prior approval from your doctor before having the treatment.
